Danielle Nicole – Cry No More

Second album of bassist and vocalist Danielle Nicole

Danielle Nicole was the vocalist and bass player of the tram-rock band Trampled Under Foot operating in the years 2000-2015. The group formed together with the brother’s Nick and Kris Schnebelen. Danielle started a solo activity after the breakup of the group. In 2015 she released her debut album “Wolf Den”. His successor is entitled “Cry No More” and was released on February 23 by Concord Records.

Danielle Nicole’s second release, Cry No More, peaked at number 1 in the Billboard Top Blues Albums Chart and included producer collaborator Tony Braunagel; writers Danielle Schnebelen, Bill Withers, Prince, Jeff Paris, Tamara Champlin, Maia Sharp, Pam Rose, Anthony LaPeau and John Lardieri. Players were Danielle Nicole, vocals/bass; Nick Schnebelen, Brandon Miller, Walter Trout, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Monster Mike Welch, Luther Dickinson and Johnny Lee Schell, guitars; Mike Sedovic, Mike Finnigan, and Kelly Finnigan, organs; Tony Braunagel, drums; with Maxanne Lewis and Kudisan Kai as background vocalists. Danielle is an exceptional singer, she has the raw passion and power of Janis Joplin but with more control. She moves effortlessly through this group of tunes combining rock, blues, and soul.

Nicole’s brilliant, imaginative bass sound made her the first woman to win a Blues Foundation Award in 2014. She received the Blues Music Award in the instrumentalist / bass category.
