Carvin Jones
The star of a blues guitar, an extremely charismatic and talented man. He secured his place in the elite group of the 50 best guitarists of all time Guitarist magazine. He has already played over 6000 concerts. On stage accompanied him, among others BB King, Carlos Santana, Jeff Beck, or Joe Cocker.
Born in Texas, Carvin Jones has been introduced to the blues in his childhood years. He listened to BB King’s CDs, from his grandfather collection. At the age of 11, he got his first guitar. It was a gift from Grandma.
Jones devoted himself to his passion, blues music, and quickly became a professional. He gave his first concerts in Europe in 1999. Since then, his voice regularly appears during blues radio programs and at various rock and blues festivals.
His musical mentors include BB King, Jimmy Hendrix, and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Collaboration with the greatest of the world and taking inspiration from their work did not prevent him from creating his own unique style that brought him fans not only in native Texas but throughout the United States and in Europe.
Carvin Jones performed on stage with such personalities as BB King, Albert Collins, Buddy Guy, Buddy Miles, Jeff Beck, Gary Moore, John Mayall, Jimmie Vaughn, Ten Years After, Eric Burden, and even The Animals.
In addition to the leader, the Carvin Jones Band consists of Levi Velasquez (playing the drums) and Joe Edwards (playing the bass guitar). Such a team is a guarantee of a multitude of influences that effectively combine – fortunately only theoretically – such distant stylistics as rock, jazz or Latin music, not to mention blues.
