Learning licks is very important, they function as musical words, helping to learn new styles (languages) and showing you new and interesting approaches to things you already know.
Always been terrified of country guitar you see the stars and the skill speed and accuracy beyond words no fuzz box to hide behind etc never known where to start but now there’s all this computer technology and people to answer the questions you can’t find the words for and a replay button to go over it slowly over and over and over again till I get it.
