Tedeschi Trucks Band
Tedeschi Trucks Band was founded in 2010, by the marriage of Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks. Other musicians in the band are drummers Tyler Greenwell, J. J. Johnson, vocalists Mike Mattison, Mark Rivers, Alecia Chakour. The brass section is musicians Kebbi Williams on saxophone, Ephraim Owens on trumpet, and Elizabeth Lea on trombone. Brandon Boone plays the bass guitar in the band. Kofi Burbridge, a flutist and keyboard player, also played with the band. Unfortunately, in February 2019, he died of health problems that were probably the result of a heart attack that he underwent in 2017.
The first album “Revelator,” the band recorded in 2011. It was victorious winning the grammy award for the best blues album in 2012. The next studio album, “Made Up Mind,” was created in 2014. It was winning the Rock Blues Album of the Year award. The following records were “Let Me Get By” (2016) and “Signs” (2019). In addition to recording studio albums, the band plays many concerts, which also resulted in the release of live albums “Everybody’s Talkin” (2012) and “Live from the Fox Oakland” (2017).
