Susan Tedeschi
The singer and guitarist often called the “Queen of the Blues”. She became famous in the 90s thanks to his strong voice and confidence presented on stage. In 2001 married Allman Brothers Band guitarist Derek Trucks, now together with other musicians creates the Tedeschi Trucks Band.
Susan Tedeschi began to play music on stage at the age of 15 with her own group “The Smoking Section”. Then they were studying at the Berklee College of Music and after they were finished in 1991, a professional music career began. First in the project “The Reverence Gospel Ensemble” and then in a trio with Adrienne Hayes. The first own album “Better Days” was recorded in 1995. To this day, she has released 8 solo albums and 4 under the name “Tedeschi Trucks Band”.
Derek Trucks
In 2001, she married the guitarist Derek Trucks, who played with the legendary Allman Brothers Band and on countless albums as a session musician at the side of, among others, Gregg Allman, Junior Wells, and Gov’t Mule. From the wedding, they appear together in the already mentioned formation “Tedeschi Trucks Band”, whose name comes from their names.
Susan is an extremely talented person and a real blueswoman. He sings great, plays the guitar and composes. Her voice is embedded in a soul-blues atmosphere, she has a noble sound, and extensive experience on the stage allows her to freely present vocal possibilities. If we add no less talented musicians to such a diamond, then we get a piece of solid American music at a high level. The artist was nominated for the Grammy award six times. She won the award, already with “Tedeschi Trucks Band” in 2012 in the category of the best blues album for the album titled. “Revelator”.
Her music is full-blooded blues with appropriate proportions of fire and melancholy.
