Because John Hammond is a name that rings out for anyone in love with the blues. He has been associated with some of the biggest artists of the ’60s, including Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf, John Lee Hooker, The Band and more. In fact, Hendrix was “discovered” while performing in Hammond’s band!
